Chandra Mohan began his career with the Uttar Pradesh Works Department in November 1972 as an Assistant Engineer. Over the course of his career, he advanced through various roles, including Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineer. His work spanned research and development, planning, estimation, and execution of both building and road projects. During his tenure as Superintending Engineer, he also served as a Liaison Officer between the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Department of Buildings. He retired on September 30, 2009. Since July 2014, Chandra Mohan has been actively teaching Civil Engineering subjects at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, a role he continues to fulfil to this
day.
